The Junior Civic League will crown the 62nd Miss Cinderella at their Annual Ball

(Youngstown, OH) The Junior Civic League of Youngstown, Ohio presents its 62nd Annual Cinderella Ball, this year’s theme is “Still I Rise” on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave, Boardman, OH. Partake in one of Youngstown’s holiday traditions as you witness seven debutantes, along with their escorts, presented into society as wonderful young women and men. This year’s group will be representing several high schools throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

The 2017 Miss Cinderella Debutantes are: Rayvenne Bennett of East High School; Amber Janae Bowie of Liberty High School; Malaysia Hunter of Chaney High School; Lauryn Patrease Laney of Hubbard High School; Allexus Jahzell Minor of Valley Christian High School; Myra Lynn Taylor   of East High School and Jerrica Walker of Mineral Ridge High School.

The Escorts are: Tylair Little of Warren G. Harding High School; Justin Clark of Liberty High School; Khalyeo Bonner of Cardinal Mooney High School; Jonas Allen Rizzi of Hubbard High School; Randy Madison of Valley Christian High School; William Peterson of Youngstown State University and Jared Miller of Mineral Ridge High School.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and voting will take place from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. Miss Cinderella, First Attendant, and Second Attendant will be chosen by popular vote. The Michael Austin Project will be the entertainment for the evening.

Since 1955, the Cinderella Ball has been the major fund-raising event for scholarship funds. Frances Curd, President of the Junior Civic League announced more than $650,000.00 has been awarded in scholarships to area students, who have gone on to excel and become viable members of their communities. The 2017 Cinderella Ball Chairperson is Bea Baker and Co-Chair, Charmaine Bracy.
